Another in a seemingly endless parade of reality series, All American Girl was a 13-week competition wherein the titular "girl" was chosen from a field of 15 likely contestants (pared down from 45 who had auditioned). Divided into three teams of five, the girls, ages 18 to 25, were judged on the basis of their beauty, brains, talent, athletic ability, and executive potential by a trio of judges: former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell, NBA star John Salley, and TV producer Suzanne de Passe. The bulk of the series showed the contestants being put through their paces in a grueling training camp. Those who survived the ordeal were then offered for the approval of the home viewers, who voted on the winner.
