Director Lee Abbot takes a satirical look at the stereotypes and mythologies of marijuana in this satirical mockumentary following a father who is forced to speak honestly with his daughter about pot, and a pro-pot advocate who hatches an ingenious plan to change the way America views weed. Thirty-seven year old concerned father Dave Berman was hosting a barbecue for his old college debate team when militant medical marijuana activists kicked in the door and seized his home. Later, after discovering that his teenage daughter Gina Marie has taken to reefer, Dave is forced shed his preconceptions about the drug if he holds out any hope of reconnecting with her. Meanwhile, pro-pot advocate Dr. Willa Peterson has grown so frustrated with her grassroots campaign being sabotaged by prohibition-minded corporations that she ultimately decides to take the battle to the next level. After convincing the makers of Fun-Onion snack foods that their profits would soar following legalization, Dr. Peterson enlists the aid of Public Relations genius Arturo Goldman in changing public opinion about pot. If his firm can successfully counter the government's tactics of using terrorism to frighten people away from pot by convincing the masses that pot can prevent homosexuality, Goldman may achieve the elusive goal of finally decriminalizing a substance that has never been proven either addictive or deadly. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Do you believe in magic? LA Lakers legend Magic Johnson (aka Earvin Johnson) is the host/co-executive producer of this syndicated latenight talkshow taped in Los Angeles (by Magic Johnson Enterprises and Fox Nitetime Productions in association with Twentieth TV). With dynamic percussionist, musical director, bandleader Sheila E. swinging into the show's opening fanfare theme ("Are You Ready for Magic?"), the energetic 38-year-old Magic bounced into the center court of the latenight game with plenty of charm, charisma, and promotional hype, plus his own sidekick, comedian Craig Shoemaker, with Jimmy Hodson on board as the announcer. Guests during Magic's first week included Arnold Schwarzenegger, Whitney Houston, Harrison Ford, Peta Wilson (of TV's La Femme Nikita), Arsenio Hall, Michael Douglas, Kenny G., and Christine Lahti. Magic described his show as "like myself -- fun, crazy, but a good environment." The series premiered June 8, 1998 on numerous Fox affiliates. ~ Bhob Stewart, Rovi

Craig (Craig Shoemaker) is a comic who is fond of saying "my act is my life," and in this film we watch him as he jumps back and forth between performing stand-up at a comedy club, discussing his multiple personalities (and even more numerous anxieties) with his analyst (George Wendt), and indulging in his rich fantasy life, in which he gets to date Farrah Fawcett. Both onstage and off, Craig assumes a dizzying variety of personas, from a dead-on impersonation of Barney Fife from The Andy Griffith Show and a mental patient whose medication has run out to The Lovemaster, a super-cool genius of seduction. However, real-life occasionally intrudes, in which Craig has to deal with his wife Karen (Harley Jane Kozak) and his good friend Deb (Courtney Thorne-Smith). The Lovemaster's concert sequences were filmed at The Improv, a comedy venue in Tempe, Arizona; most of the rest of the picture was shot in Los Angeles, California. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

When a college football star (Cylk Cozart) comes between him and Jackie (Tyra Banks), Will (Will Smith) goes to great lengths to prove he's as "macho" as anyone. Unfortunately, this proof consists of drinking himself unconscious, at which point his prankish frat brothers haul Will out to the middle of a cemetary! As Will suffers the torments of the darned, his cousin Ashley (Tatyana M. Ali) learns a sobering lesson about truth and beauty. This episode marks the final series appearance of Tyra Banks, not to mention a rare sitcom guest turn by popular Howard Stern cohort Robin Quivers. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

The first five women to graduate from the U.S. Navy's fighter pilot training program are organized into the "Tomcat Angels" by Craig Shoemaker, who is also sleeping with the heroine, Callie (Kerri Danesi). Callie gets shot down and tortured by the people she charmingly refers to as "ragheads," but gets a reprieve when an Arab general (played by the very non-Arab Brian Colgan) decides to make her his love-slave. The Angels find out about her capture from an expatriate Arab and mount an unconvincing rescue mission. ~ Robert Firsching, Rovi
