In this Japanese drama, the captain of a university soccer team is so obsessed with winning that he alienates his teammates by drilling them so hard. He must face a difficult choice when his school tells him that he has been chosen to study three years in Germany. He wants to go, but he does not want to leave his lover. He must also consider the promise he made to his grandfather: if his team loses its final game, the lad must run the family brewery. A teammate discovers that the soccer team has run out of funds so he challenges the captain's grandfather to a fencing duel. If the grandfather loses, he must put up the needed funds. The young man wins. Unfortunately, the grandson hurts his leg during practice. The team is unable to win without him. The teammate confides in the captain that he was right to drill them so hard. In this Japanese sci-fi adventure, Japan and the rest of the planet is being destroyed by a deadly series of earthquakes. Explorers soon discover why: beneath the sea is an enormous city, Mu, and to keep it going, they have been stealing energy from the Earth's core. They refuse to stop and so the Japanese government pleads with the commander of the air, land, and sea supership, the Atragon, to help them destroy Mu. The Japanese potboiler Dangerous Kiss stars Akira Takarada as a famous prizefighter. When not dodging punches in the ring, Takarada is besieged by seemingly hundreds of beautiful young ladies. The title refers to the old adage that boxing and dames don't mix. Takarada finds this out en route to True Love.
