Originally released as The Wild McCulloughs, this AIP melodrama stars Forrest Tucker as J.J. McCulloch, a domineering patriarch. In their race to escape their father's overbearing influence, J.J.'s grown sons come to grief; one son dies in Korea, while another is arrested for murder. Only Gary (Chip Hand), the youngest son, manages to survive the situation. J.J. also has a daughter, played by Janice Heiden, whose romantic misadventures add more fuel to the dysfunctional flames. Costarring in The McCulloughs is Julie Adams as Tucker's long suffering wife, and former "Beverly Hillbilly" Max Baer (who also produced, directed and wrote the film) as one of Heiden's beaus. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

Don Grady of My Three Sons fame guest stars as John McElroy, the irresponsible son of business executive Douglas McElroy (Murray Hamilton). After John inadvertently commits a crime on a government reservation, a mobster who witnessed the incident strongarms the boy's father into allowing his company to be taken over by the Mafia. Inspector Erskine (Efrem Zimbalist Jr.) must not only bring John to justice for his crime, but also save the boy from becoming yet another Mob casualty. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
Rather than come off as old fogies, Lucy (Lucille Ball) and Viv (Vivian Vance) really try to "mix in" while chaperoning a teenage party held by Lucy's daughter Chris (Candy Moore) at Sandy Cove. Anxious to prove that they're as hip and cool as anyone else, our heroines not only perform a spirited (and off-key) rendition of the old rock favorite "Big Girls Don't Cry", but also participate in an athletic Limbo dance. At the end of the day, however, things get a bit out of hand and it is up to the teenagers to show a little maturity! ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

This episode is a showcase for character actor Parker Fennelly, best remembered as the dour "Titus Moody" on radio's Fred Allen Show. Fenelly plays Abraham Lee, an elderly farmer who owns a tiny patch of land bordering the property of wealthy and powerful rancher George Advent (Denver Pyle). Upset that Lee's farm prevents the fence surrounding his own land from forming a "perfect" line, Advent has declared war on the old codger--and of course, Paladin (Richard Boone) has cast his lot with the underdog. Essential to the story's outcome is Lee's Native American adopted son, played by My Three Sons' Don Grady). ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
The story of America's most notorious gangster mother is chronicled in this crime drama. The tale starts in Oklahoma during the Depression. It is she who encourages her sons to become criminals. She and her outlaw progeny go on the lam until the police finally corner her in her richly appointed Florida hide-out. A bloody shoot-out ensues. ~ Sandra Brennan, All Movie Guide
Disneyland began its fourth season on the air with a gala, all-star "special", essentially designed to promote all three of Disney's network TV series. Pressured by his cartoon creations and the latest crop of Mouseketeers to tell them what's in store for the 1957-58 season, host Walt Disney offers tantalizing glimpses of the new weekly adventure show Zorro, the Disneyland miniseries The Saga of Andy Burnett (with Jerome Courtland in the title role) and the newest installments of such Mickey Mouse Club serials as "Spin and Marty." The remainder of the Fourth Anniversary Show is an uncut presentation of the "Peter and the Wolf" segement from the 1946 animated feature Make Mine Music. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
