A Russian-American journalist and the grieving father of a 9/11 victim join forces to challenge the government's official account of the events that unfolded on that fateful and tragic day in this incendiary thriller from director Jarek Kupsc. When successful journalist Alex Prokop (Kupsc) receives a unique videotape that reveals newly discovered information about the terrorist attacks on New York City and Washington, D.C., he makes it his mission to find out as much as possible about the explosive new development. The sender of the tape was Paul Cooper (Joseph Culp), an American patriot whose daughter perished in those terrorist attacks and who now believes that the U.S. government is to blame for those horrific events. As Prokop and Cooper interview various eyewitnesses to the attack, stories of underground explosions in the Twin Towers immediately before the attack and the revelation that the president's brother presided over the WTC security staff finds the official story slowly crumbling under the weight of the unspeakable truth. Before long, the FBI begins pressuring Alex's editor, Georgia (Lisa Black), to reveal key sources and the magazine's investors are threatening to kill the entire story. In the Big Love pilot, we are introduced to Bill Henrickson (Bill Paxton) and his complicated family. Bill, who lives in a suburb of Salt Lake City, UT, owns Henrickson's Home Plus, a successful retail store that is about to open its second branch. Bill is having problems performing sexually, and blames it on the stress. Having three wives vying for his attention probably doesn't help. Margene (Ginnifer Goodwin) is insecure, and needs frequent reassurance from Bill. She seems lost when he is with his other wives. Nicki (Chloë Sevigny) appears to be doing a lot of surreptitious luxury shopping, and often asks her husband for extra money. Barb (Jeanne Tripplehorn) is the only wife who has a job. She works as a substitute teacher, part-time, and balks when Bill asks her to put her paycheck into the family pot. Bill searches for a solution to his impotence on the Internet. More trouble rears its head when his sister-in-law, Wanda (Melora Walters), calls to tell him that his father, Frank (Bruce Dern), is apparently gravely ill, and that his mother, Lois (Grace Zabriskie) refuses to take Frank to a doctor. Bill, who has not seen his family in a while, wants his brother Joey (Shawn Doyle) to handle it, but Wanda points out that calling Bill was a last resort. Bill convinces Barb to accompany him and Nicki to attend to his parents at the hated UEB compound at Juniper Creek, run by Nicki's father, Roman (Harry Dean Stanton). While Bill is on the compound, Roman confronts him about a business dispute. Meanwhile, Heather (Tina Majorino), a new girl at Sarah's (Amanda Seyfried) fast-food job and a devout Mormon, takes an interest in Sarah. Oz (Seth Green) returns. Having traveled widely -- he mentions Tibet -- Oz has discovered how to control his werewolf transformations. Willow's (Alyson Hannigan) joy over his return is compromised now that she loves Tara (Amber Benson). Seeking advice, Willow reveals the true nature of her relationship with Tara to Buffy (Sarah Michelle Gellar) -- up until now she has kept her homosexuality as secret. Meanwhile, a commando is attacked by what he assumes to be a werewolf. Oz is subsequently captured by the Initiative. Surprisingly, Spike (James Marsters) leads Buffy into the Initiative compound to free Oz. More surprisingly, Riley (Marc Blucas) helps liberate Oz, subsequently severing his ties to the Initiative. Now, with her boyfriend AWOL from the Initiative, Buffy feels free to reveal her past relationship with Angel (David Boreanaz). Elsewhere, Adam (George Hertzberg) offers to remove Spike's anti-violence chip if he assists in his plan to unleash worldwide chaos. ~ Rovi

With Marilyn Monroe permanently unavailable for comment, everybody and his uncle has come out of the woodwork since 1962 claiming an intimate relationship with the legendary film star (how did she ever find the time to be a film star?) Marilyn and Me is based on the reminiscences of one Robert Slatzer, who claimed to have been secretly married to Monroe back in her Norma Jean days. Jesse Dobson manages to keep a straight face as he recites his lines as Slatzer, while Susan Griffiths is as good a Monroe impersonator as any. Better still is Joel Grey as Marilyn's first and most influential agent Johnny Hyde, whose own close relationship with La Monroe is a bit easier to believe. Actress Terry Moore, who in the early 1950s was briefly groomed as a Monroe "substitute," plays a bit as Johnny Hyde's widow. Marilyn and Me is about as convincing as the Bugs Bunny cartoon What's Opera, Doc?, and not nearly as entertaining. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
This West German film is set in the California Desert. A husband-and-wife pair of Bavarian tourists become stranded when their car breaks down; after a quarrel, the wife, Marianne Sagebrecht, gathers her luggage and stalks off. She stops at the Bagdad Cafe, a fleapit truckstop run by outspoken C.C.H. Pounder, who is also having husband problems. The Cafe has become a magnet for some of truly odd character: temperamental Hispanic cook George Aguilar, tattoo artist Christine Kaufmann, and onetime Hollywood set designer Jack Palance. Despite obvious personality differences, Sagebrecht and Pounder become friends. Bagdad Cafe was later adapted into a short-lived American sitcom starring Jean Stapleton and Whoopi Goldberg. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
