Pink Movies

It is difficult to say which came first, Pink's clever name, or the color of her hair. Regardless of which inspired which, the rock star's glowing neon-pink locks, in combination with her youthful rock & roll sounds, make her name impossible to forget. Pink was born Alecia Moore on September 8, 1979, in Doylestown, PA. She was raised in nearby Philadelphia, where she broke into the music scene at an age defying the laws of curfew, and had released her first solo album (Can't Take Me Home) by the age of 19, in the spring of 2000. Her successful pop music career led to her performance of the song "Lady Marmalade" in the film Moulin Rouge starring Nicole Kidman in 2001. Pink made several television appearances on the MTV Music Awards, and released a performance video, Pink: Most Girls/There You Go, in 2000. In 2002, she appeared in the feature film Rollerball, an action-fantasy film starring Chris Klein, LL Cool J, and Rebecca Romijn-Stamos. Pink's second album, M!ssundaztood, came out just prior to the film's release, and in 2006 the pop princess continued her acting career as star of the claustrophobic thriller Catacombs, which found her stalked in the dark tunnels beneath the streets of Paris. Two years later, her single So What found Pink at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the first time in her career. ~ Sarah Sloboda, Rovi

This remake of the classic 1975 science fiction film follows the same basic story line but focuses far more on the sports action of the fictional game at its center. Chris Klein stars as all-American athlete Jonathan Cross, the most popular player of "Rollerball," a violent 21st century sport mixing elements of basketball, hockey, roller derby, and extreme sports, along with the development of live wagering that tracks each game's action. Along with his friends and teammates Marcus (L.L. Cool J) and Aurora (Rebecca Romijn-Stamos), Jonathan is living the life of a media celebrity and millionaire, enjoying the adoration of fans and all of the perks that his fame brings. When the creator of Rollerball, Alexi Petrovich (Jean Reno), realizes that the sport's ratings spike during the on-court accidents that are de rigueur for the game, he schemes to create the bloody incidents that are popular with viewers but put the athletes in mortal jeopardy. Soon, Jonathan and his friends find themselves pawns in a vast corporate conspiracy in which their lives are far less important than profits. Rollerball (2002) also stars pop singer Pink in her acting debut. ~ Karl Williams, Rovi

The three most glamorous and butt-kicking private detectives in the business are back and ready to take on bad guys in this sequel to the 2000 blockbuster screen adaptation of the once-popular television series. Dylan (Drew Barrymore), Natalie (Cameron Diaz), and Alex (Lucy Liu) are once again summoned to the office of their boss Charlie (voice of John Forsythe), where they're introduced to his new right-hand man Jimmy Bosley (Bernie Mac) and given their latest assignment. It seems a pair of rings have gone missing and need to be recovered, but this was no ordinary jewel heist -- the rings have been coded with special information that can be used to access a list of every person in the FBI's Witness Protection Program, and when a handful of protected informants are murdered, the Angels are brought in to help crack the case. As the women search for the culprits, they encounter Madison Lee (Demi Moore), one of Charlie's former agents who decided that the wrong side of the law pays better, and Seamus (Justin Theroux), who once dated Dylan and wants revenge for her decision to turn him over to the police. Luke Wilson and Matt LeBlanc return as (respectively) Natalie and Alex's love interests, as does Crispin Glover as the Thin Man; John Cleese, Robert Forster, and Eric Bogosian also appear in supporting roles. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

The producers of Saw shine a little darkness on the City of Lights in this grim thriller about a naïve American visiting her sister in Paris, and the horror that unfolds as they descend into the city's vast Catacombs for a wild underground rave. Victoria (Shannon Sossamon) has never been to Paris, but when her sister Carolyn (Pink) invites her to an upcoming party, the prospect of living it up in the most romantic city on Earth proves too powerful to resist. Shortly after arriving in Paris, Victoria and Carolyn venture deep into the 200-mile limestone labyrinth constructed with the bones of seven million Parisians. Later, after getting separated from her friends, the frightened American can't help shake the feeling that someone - or something - is stalking her every move; just waiting for the perfect moment to spring forth from the darkness. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

An ambitious young record company executive attempts to transport an unpredictable rock star to L.A.'s Greek Theatre in time for his hotly anticipated comeback performance in this spin-off of the comedy hit Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Aaron Green (Jonah Hill) has just landed his dream job in the record industry, and he's eager to prove his worth. His first assignment: travel to London and escort British rock god Aldous Snow (Russell Brand) to the show that will re-ignite his career. Before he departs, Aaron is warned by his boss Sergio Roma (Sean Combs) to never let Aldous out of his sight, and never underestimate his capacity for mayhem. Immensely talented yet deeply tortured, Aldous hit the bottle hard after his popularity began to wane and his girl walked out on him. Aldous is locked in the midst of an existential crisis, and rues the thought of being accompanied across the pond by an insincere sycophant. Though it seems like sex is the only thing Aldous ever thinks about, his thoughts turn to romance when he discovers that gorgeous model/pop singer Jackie Q (Rose Byrne) will be in Los Angeles at the time of his concert, too. Jackie Q is the love of Aldous' life, and he'll do anything and everything to win her heart. With the concert fast approaching and Aaron's fledgling career on the line, the race is on to get Aldous to the Greek, and ensure the big show goes off without a hitch. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi
