This low-budget, off-the-wall comedy by Hans Noever relies on improvisation for some of its 80-minute running time, and on a screwball group of characters. A film crew is housed in a Berlin mansion to work on a project, and during their stay the owner of the villa dies while sitting on the bathroom facilities listening to classical music on the radio. Rudi (Levin Kress) is a 17-year-old lost in the fantasy world of Vienna. In the Turkish village he lives in, Orhan, who is a shepherd boy, watches his father killed by a hit-and-run driver whose car has Austrian plates. He hides away in a truck bound for those parts and tracks down the killer. He has somehow gotten hold of a gun, and manages to frighten his father's killer with it. Meanwhile, he has made friends with an Austrian boy, and made a hangout of the kitchen of the night club which his father's killer frequents. In this political comedy, a right-wing political party is looking for a suitable spokesman to make their ravingly eccentric positions acceptable to the general public. They find an out of work actor (Harald Juhnke) to serve as their "parrot," and at first it looks as though they have chosen well, as their popularity is now on the rise. However, they hadn't counted on the poor man having something they themselves apparently lack: a conscience.
