Creditable for its images but not its rather weak dialogue, this is an erotic, sci-fi view of a technological world gone to the extreme. What unfolds is a journey into the subconscious mind of the "Minister for Lust," and given his title, that is just what dominates his subconscious. Without the nudity and erotica, there is not much left to this image-filled world of a prurient imagination at work. ~ Eleanor Mannikka, Rovi

Wooden acting and limited dialogue undermine this story adapted from a real incident -- two gay lovers convinced a third party to shoot them both to death in a double suicide in Italy in 1980. The setting for this act is changed to Hamburg in the film, but it would require prior knowledge of the real story and its issues before this cinematic interpretation could be understood. ~ Eleanor Mannikka, Rovi
