In 1955, an African-American woman named Rosa Parks dared to take an empty seat in the "Whites Only" section on a city bus in Montomery, AL, and sparked one of the first major battles in the civil rights movement of the 1950s and 1960s, thus bringing the work of Martin Luther King to the attention of many Americans for the first time. Boycott is a made-for-TV movie that dramatizes the events of the Montomery bus boycott, weaving vintage newsreel footage with scenes depicting the public and private dramas involved in the protests. Boycott stars Jeffrey Wright as Martin Luther King, Carmen Ejogo as Coretta Scott King, and Terrence Dashon Howard as Ralph Abernathy; CCH Pounder, Reg E. Cathey, and Shawn Michael Howard highlight the supporting cast. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

Yes, this is the one in which George's current girlfriend uses the phrase "yada yada" -- and drives George (Jason Alexander) crazy by leaving out the important details between the "yadas."Tim Whatley, Jerry's dentist (played by Malcolm in the Middle's Bryan Cranston) converts to Judaism, and Jerry suspects that his only motivation may be the ability to get away with telling Jewish jokes. Meanwhile, Kramer (Michael Richards) and his actor friend Mickey (Danny Woodburn) fight over which girl they'll get on a double date. And Elaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) thoroughly louses up the chances for her married friends Beth (Debra Messing) and Arnie (Stephen Caffrey) to adopt a child. This is also the episode in which real life marrieds Robert Wagner and Jill St. John turn up at the end (as Mickey's parents, Dr. Abbott and Mrs. Abbott) and accuse Jerry of being an "Anti-Dentite."

This routine comedy is about a series of misadventures during a family vacation at the beach and stars John Candy (who died of a heart attack while filming in Mexico in 1994) as John Chester and Karen Austin as his long-suffering wife Sandy. When the family leave for what turns out to be a pretty decrepit shack on a public beach, Jack eventually locks horns with the owner of this dubious piece of real estate, and their conflict terminates in a boat race in which Jack and his motley crew are at first glance, and even second, no match for the others in the race. In the meantime, there are plenty of skits with Jack dressed as anything from an ample, unintentional likeness of a geisha to the normal tourist dude in a Hawaiian shirt. His wife and daughter tackle their own problems, related to sex in one way or another, mostly another. ~ Eleanor Mannikka, Rovi
