Obsessive fans are nothing new when it comes to celebrities, and Larry (Garry Shandling) finds that out the hard way in this episode of HBO's popular talk show satire The Larry Sanders Show. When Larry takes notice that his number one fan is following his career (and his every move) a bit too closely, paranoia gets the best of our gracious host. Guest stars include Phil Hartman, Jeff Chayette, Lane Davis, Nelson Lesmo, Tony Perez, Kim Robillard, Jack Shearer, and Corbin Bernsen. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi
Vivian (Janet Hubert-Whitten) goes out of town for a weekend, leaving Hilary (Karyn Parsons) in charge of her younger siblings. Naturally, Hilary turns out to be a tyrant (it's a TV sitcom tradition), but the real "drama" of the story gets under way when Will (Will Smith) sneaks into town and ends up in a high-stakes pool game with a tough hustler named Charlie the Mack (J.D. Hall). Surprisingly, Philip (James Avery) comes to Will's rescue--and saves the family's Mercedes--by showing off his heretofore unsuspected brilliance with a pool cue. The result is an unusual bonding moment between Will and his uncle. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
Season Six of Night Court ends with the third of the series' "Day in the Life" episodes, in which the court staff is compelled to process a huge number of cases before a midnight deadline. On this go-round, the time limit is imposed when a water pipe bursts in the building's holding cells, forcing the handcuffed inmates to crowd into the courtroom. As the water rises and midnight approaches, Judge Harry (Harry Anderson) must convict as many inmates as humanly possible--a task made doubly difficult when several of the more dangerous criminals escape! ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
A female art dealer who had planned to sell some rare Native American masks is found stabbed to death with a ceremonial Indian dagger. Investigating, Hunter (Fred Dryer) and McCall (Stepfanie Kramer) head to a Zuni reservation, where several self-appointed witnesses--foremost among them a Native American artist--are quick to accuse the victim's husband of committing the crime. But as they delve deeper into the case, the two detectives discover that there is far more "bad blood" flowing on the reservation than they could ever have imagined. This is the final episode of Hunter's fifth season. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
With no more driving force than a 5-mile-an-hour wind, this unlikely sci-fi story is about what happens when sex in the 20th century meets sex in the B.C. era (Before Censors?). An anthropology student named Rex (Daniel Roebuck) is off on a normal field trip when a time warp snaps him up and deposits him in the prehistoric period, when people lived in caves because they could not afford houses. Rex's libido starts working overtime once he meets an attractive cave woman (Cynthia Thompson), and the rest of the story involves a mating game played across a great cultural divide -- that of the protagonists, and that of the audience. ~ Eleanor Mannikka, Rovi
