In this routine story about an old man trying to battle the onslaught of loneliness, he is first seen standing at the grave site of his wife, alone except for the priest who is officiating at the end of her funeral. After he goes back to an empty apartment, he makes an abrupt decision to sell his television set and buy a better electronic link to the outside world -- a telephone. Once the telephone is installed, the widower then tinkers with the public telephones in as many phone booths as he can visit and connects them all up to his number. The ensuing disaster affords him many new conversations, but how long will it be before the police catch on to his trick?
~ Eleanor Mannikka, Rovi

The legend of the mighty Sasquatch ( aka "Big Foot") is explored in this quasi-documentary. The creature is believed to be a giant bipedal ape that could provide a link between humans and their forebears. In the film, scientists try hunting the elusive creature. At one point a suspiciously blurry photograph of one is seen as it stumps through the woods. ~ Sandra Brennan, Rovi
