Dolly Parton stars as an up-and-coming country & western singer (a role that obviously stirred up some memories for her) in this made-for-TV drama. Leanna Taylor (Parton) ran away from home when she was a teenager to escape her abusive family, hoping to find a career in Nashville as a singer. Years later, Leanna still finds herself struggling along the margins of the music business, despite her talent. Leanna's boyfriend and manager, Hank (John Terry), has been with her for the past 15 years, and is still promising that her big break is around the corner. However, Leanna finds herself becoming infatuated with Bobby (Billy Dean), the handsome new guitarist in her backing band. Bobby believes Leanna has the talent to go on to bigger and better things, and urges her to fire Hank as her manager; Hank, however, is certain that if he loses Leanna as a client, he'll lose her as a girlfriend as well. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

Four campers venture into the wilderness for a relaxing hike, unaware that a deranged mountain man is slaughtering whoever crosses his path. While they tell ghost stories around the campfire and romp in the rolling streams, a number of unfortunate nature lovers are dispatched by the maniac; an ornithologist, a fisherman, a pair of newlyweds, a photographer and even a handicapped man struggling through the woods in his wheelchair. When the killer finally encounters the quartet of youths, he murders Craig (James P. Hayden), the only one with experience in the outdoors. The rest are forced to scatter, hopelessly lost in the forest. Peter (Nick McClelland) and Ingrid (Mary Gail Artz) manage to make it to the safety of a nearby town, and the authorities form a posse to seek out the mysterious murderer. But Peter is overcome with guilt by leaving Joanie (Angie Brown) behind, and he returns to the deadly forest to rescue her and get revenge for the ordeal they've all suffered through. ~ Fred Beldin, Rovi
