Superman 4. It's great for the kids who don't pick apart movies or get too realistic. I admit, I loved this one as a kid, but watching it again in my 30's, I now tend to go "shouldn't she die in space" or "should'nt she die when she hits the atmosphere?" "you can't fall in space!". But take another look at Superman 4 and you can see a lot of the formulas that you see in Superman comics from the silver age of the 1960's - early 1980's. Superman 4 is a must for any fan of Superman and Christopher Reeve. Get out the Supes PJ's and grab a bowl of cereal- it's Saturday morning again.

This movie was alright. It was nice to see them bring back Gene Hackman, which has to be the best Lex Luthor ever. But the story was still kind of dumb. I mean Lex Luthor made another being using the DNA from Superman's hair. And it was created by being thrown into the sun with a nuclear weapon. Okay, sure, whatever. Still an alright movie to watch, but not necessary to watch.

Superman IV - The Quest For Peace has a smaller budget and worse acting then the third entry, but it's still a better movie in my opinion. Regardless of how it fairs in comparison to it's predecessor though, Superman IV is a cheesy, poorly acted and unnecessary sequel. The villain sucks, and the overall message, while well intended, comes across as corny. To sum it all up, this film is insulting to Superman, his legacy, creators, and fans.
