Light hearted, Low budget attempt at a Romantic Comedy. Story line seems a little Choppy, But good for a few laughs. Acting was a bit rigid in the beginning but lightened up as the movie went on. Definately not a movie for anyone looking for serious Lesbian representation. Pokes fun at some stereotypical Lesbian lifestyles. Overall, It kept my attention, I got a few laughs, and the sex scene between arch nemisis was hysterical w/an obscure sort of sizzle!

First, the "If You Like" matches by Blockbuster make NO sense w/this romantic comedy. Now, on to the movie: "Bar Girls" is slightly campy, mostly awful, and filled with inside references and a few cameos (notably Chastity Bono). Any real-life "bar girl" can probably recognize parts of herself or her story in some of the leads. However, the characters and laugh lines remain flat b/c the script is superficial, and they drown in stereotypes. The acting is mediocre. A sex scene between rivals is patently disturbing. Finally, the only transformation (one character) is too rapid to be real. In all, 1 1/2 stars is all I can give this facile flick.

I liked this movie. Nothing too serious, but the characters were believable for the most part. I was pleased to see a guy who liked lesbians in the film. Friends are friends no matter what. The scene with the troll was pretty dumb, though.
