This movie reminded me of "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf" with a modern twist and two, instead of just one, couples involved. What starts out as a impromptu therapy session involving Cosmo, who has brought his obviously unstable wife Arlie to the home of Jack and Rita, who are his therapists, evolves into a breakdown of both couples over the course of the evening. I have seen both Julie Hagerty ("Airplane") and Wallace Shawn ("Princess Bride") frequently in comedy roles. In this move they are stunningly convincing as two deeply disturbed and damaged people. No one escapes unscathed in this movie. It is an instense psychological drama, I was totally rivited.
