Before he became a star hunk, Russell Crowe did small films with heart and soul. His talent for spectacle is well-known, but the subtlety to pull off this thoughtful, adjusted gay bloke appears to have gotten lost in the splash of Gladiator. I laughed, cried and stayed glued to this film because it has in it a respect for the full person. Crowe and his father, wonderfully played by Jack Thompson, are real to us because their lives remind us of ours. A wonderful film with a respect for people.

This is a quality gay-themed film. It does help to know Aussie speak in order to understand some of the things that are said. And sometimes you have to rewind/replay to understand some of the phrases. It was a touching and humorous story. I'm glad I bought it.

Russel Crow plays a regular guy who is gay. He is not nelly or overblown with testosterone. This movie is funny and enlightning. It has many facets. I was very impressed. The father is also great and I wish there were more like him. Watch this movie with an open heart and you'll be glad you did. Oh, there are several scense with Russel with little on and what can I say but, my oh my. :)
