A great documentary! An insightul look at the African-American community in the U.S. circa 1971 and of course, the musical performances are wonderful.

I enjoyed the commentary. The live performances were my favorite. It was my opportunity to see Johnny Taylor, The Bar Kays, Rufus Thomas, The Staple Singers and others perform live. It was like my own personal concert at home.

This was a great movie to look back on the way things were and to an extent still is. I would recommend this movie to anyone of color or otherwise for getting a grasp of our history, and the opinions of the people back then. Great movie.
