This movie takes place right after the bombing of Pearl Harbor on December 7th, 1941. You'll recognize most of these young male actors who portray boys who must decide what they are going to do now that the call has gone out by President Roosevelt. The movie does a great job of addressing many of the different factors boys must have faced at that historic time. The biggest factor being...are you willing to totally disrupt your life and everything you had planned to go to a strange land and fight (and maybe die) for your country. A good movie because it felt like you were getting a personal peak into what was going on during the couple days right after the Jap attack.

My boys love war movies. This was rated PG so we expected it to be a good family viewing. Sadly, there was so much language in it, it ruined the plot for us. We had to turn it off after 20 minutes, as it didn't improve at all. This movie was a disappointment because it wasn't true to it's PG rating. If the guidelines changed between 1991 and 2007, Blockbuster needs to point that out. PG is supposed to be safe, like Disney movies. I would rate this an R for language.
