I really thought this was marvolously done. Tortured vampire like creature, gentle love, heroic action even when against what could be considered his own. All the earmarks of the more recent vampire stuff (I'm thinking of Buffy). Only goes to show that anime is ahead of its time. Can not wait for the second movie to come up on my queue.

I liked this anime movie just not as much as some of the others that reviewed it. The concept of the main character is very interesting. The movie plays out fairly decent but does jump from one thing to the next in spots. This gives it a jerky kind of feeling. Also the "love" story, if you can call it that, just appears in a flash. The script could have been developed a little better. I thought it was a cool anime movie but in the end found the "concept" of the movie more intriguing then the movie was good. Still recommend picking up and can't wait to see the others in the series.

An excellent anime that emerses you in a different vampire world than you have seen before. Great action sequences, one annoying character, GREAT art and an excellent story. A highly recommended anime.
