I've always liked Julie Christie's work and always looked forward to seeing her in films. This was one that slipped by me years ago when it was released. Also, being a sci-fi fan and stumbling across this in Blockbuster's listings I was looking forward to seeing it. But, I just didn't find it engaging. I kinda felt like what the characters seemed to feel like: bored. I didn't really get a sense there was any kind of war, so the post-apocolyptic premise behind the film really didn't come across. There were no damaged structures - that I could recall - or any signs of a mixture of pre or postwar effects on the people, other then your occasional reference to postwar rules. Unless someone can inspire me to give it another shot, I'll have to pass on recommending this film to anyone.

One of the worst movies I've seen, even though I like Julie Christie. Hard to follow, disjointed, boring.
