A pretty good depiction of the first meeting of Mayan and North American native civilizations. The casting was a bit of a stretch but the love story is cute enough for a rainy saturday afternoon.

There is no historical account of any meeting of Mayan and North American Indian civilizations. There is no indication that the Mayans ever set foot in what is now the US, in fact. But, the movie was entertaining and the use of extras and visual effects were reminiscent of such epics as "The Ten Commandments" and "Ben Hur". Yul Brynner gives a stoic performance as usual.

An excellent semi-historical drama...Fine acting, a decent script and an interesting plot. We have heard of Mayan or Aztec ruins being discovered in Georgia/Alabama area...So, it might be that this is closer to fact than fiction. In short, this is a good movie for the whole family...No mindless gore.
