Back in the 70's there were a number of low budget, innovative, fresh movies by upstart producer/directors. Russ Meyers comes to mind ... these movies often had tongue-in-cheek themes poking fun at the establishment and celebrating some of the youthful rebellion that came out of the 60's anti-war movement. I had expected this movie might fit that category. Sadly it was a very weak reflection of the Cinderella story with none of the magic. I do give a couple stars for the song and dance routines, but cheap costumes. lame choreography, acting and story all suffer. Worth watching only if you are a fan of the cast/director. There are better examples of this genre, example "Beyond the Valley of the Dolls" or the more main-line classic "Easy Rider"

Best suggestion I can give. DON'T RENT! Ridiculously sad budget soft core waste of time

Block buster sucks. They keep shipping items out of que order. I hate getting disc 3 of a set before one and two. Also, on a lot of the series, they did not seem to have one of the series available. Then Items they claim are not available, they ship out of the blue. while items they say are available never ship. They seem to not have a clue what they are doing. I also hated the fact that they do not look as discs to see if they are broken upon return- they rely solely on customers reporting broken disc.So if customer ships disc broken or gets broken in the mail, they will ship the disc out (I got 3 in the mail this way). I quit and went to net flix. Less cost and more movies. Also, The searches are not limited to 200 movies max, like Block buster is , so you can browse to other titles easier.
