This is a very tender and humorous filming of Dylan Thomas's Christmas classic. The images it imparts of turn of the century Christmas's apply to all extended families who gather on Christmas day. I loved the Uncles and Aunts, but the only thing missing was a houseful of cousins.

This is a beautiful story that should be a Christmas classic. It is a richly written, magical story by Dylan Thomas of a Christmas in turn-of-the-century Wales as told by a grandfather to a grandchild.
