Having listened to the Lone ranger on the radio in the 40's before my family had a TV, then having watched The Lone Ranger on TV into the 50's, this collection of TV shows was quite nostalgic. It took a lot less to entertain us in those days and the acting and the script were more then a little corny, but watching these was fun, none the less. I don't think those who never experienced the Lone Ranger the way I did because they weren't around when he was a regular, will find much to like in this DVD, but for other maturing adults you just might like this one.
Another point of interest is that you won't find any modern "PC" films or shows with a character like Tonto nor will you hear any language similar to his scripted words.
Great, 8 original episodes just like they were shown on 50's TV. The first 6 in B&W the last two color. Great to watch how "old time" TV was done and to see many of the old time actors before they were famous for other roles, like DeForest Kelley before he was "Bones" in Star Trek. If you enjoy old time TV this DVD is for you. 3 hours of enjoyment.
