Walking Tall: The Final Chapter (1977)
Member Rating:
Rated R for violence, this is another of the promises broken to us by the movie industry. When they promise that we won't have to see something again, why can't they make it happen? Although this, like the Jason movies (Friday the 13th ad nauseam), is followed by a made for TV movie and a series, they really have to be prequels to this "final chapter," as dictated by the fiery conclusion of the movie. The story of a sheriff who just isn't going to take it anymore, it is based on a true story but, as with all Hollywood fare, made larger than life. ~ Tana Hobart, Rovi

This trilogy was excellent. Although it was made back in the year that I was born, it was truly a great movie. I bought the trilogy for my husband for Christmas last year and we have watched it twice since. If you are in to cop movies, which we are, then this is a great piece of work to watch. To see an officer take up for his town the way he did, no wonder he was a HERO. And every sence of the word. Wish we had more like him around here. If you are in to older made movies, classics, this is just the one that you need to watch. I gave it 5 stars because it is a true story, and there should be more movies based on true life out there. To many fake movies just don't cut it no more.

This movie was made back in my day and yet it is so moving that you can't move till it is over. My children and grandchildren have watched it with me and cry and laugh and said meme is really true. I told them that so maybe fictionalize the killings and trial was real. So always walk tall.
