I was hesitant to rent this movie at first, but since what I wanted to see was out of stock, I went ahead and got this. There are a few subtitles that you will have to read, but most of it is in English. Sad and heartbreaking tale that will keep you interested and intrigued. A must watch movie. If you had to compare it to anything, this movie kind of reminds me of Memoirs of a Geisha.

Great look at just one story...out of the awful mess that was Nanking

One of the best movies I have seen. The acting, photography, directing and the beatiful way they told the story. It was a story of war as well as triumph.
