Synopsis of Philly Kid

A former NCAA wrestling champion becomes a successful MMA fighter after being sent to prison for killing a cop, and battles a corrupt system after realizing he's been set up to take a big fall. Dillon McCabe (Wes Chatham) was a natural-born fighter. But the very same night Dillon won the NCAA wrestling title, he got mixed up in an incident that resulted in the death of a police officer. Subsequently released from prison after 10 years, Dillon returns to his Baton Rouge mean-street roots and learns that one of his oldest friends has crossed a ruthless loan shark. In no time, the ex-con is rising through the ranks of the local fighting circuit on a mission to raise the money that will save his friend.
