This film brings an interesting twist to the tried and true Western theme of the good guy hunting down a gang of thieves: the protagonist is not seeking revenge as much as he is a purveyor of justice and, at times, even compassion to his victims. The plot and character development are interesting, and the cinematography is good, if not great. Justin Tade does an admirable job as the protagonist, Marion. The role is played in an understated way, and at times you wish the director had given Tade a little more leeway in showing some of the dark emotions hinted at by his eyes and facial expressions. Tade also earned a little more screen time than he was given. You find yourself wanting to get to know this man, Marion, but you really dont get the opportunity. Craig Myers also does great work as the leader of the gang, Hoss Williams. Hoss is a complex character, and his actions seem to suggest that he has developed code of ethics after spending much of his youth killing and thieving.
