Great, wonderful, freewheeling 1970's Italian movie, a comedy with a heart! It's about a Sicilian immigrant (illegal?) trying to make it as a waiter in a fancy restaurant in Switzerland, befriending a German single mother along the way. Will he stay with her or go back to his own wife and family? Don't judge this movie by today's standards, just enjoy it.

Very poor production quality but a charming tale. Boring and weird in parts, and laugh out loud funny in others. Well written, but you must watch closely to enjoy its humor and tragedies. Very much worth a rent if you can endure low budget foreign films.
