Begging the Ring (1979)
Before World War One, Britain had never had to resort to conscription ("the draft") to put enough people into uniform to fight its wars. In this movie, set in 1916 in a remote region in the north of Cornwall, the seriousness of the war, the military, and the draft have not become clear to the populace.
