This very short series works at a disadvantage. With only a few episodes on 2 disks, it tries to do too much. Every character is overloaded with significance, and there's little time to flesh them out. As a result, you don't get connected to anyone. And our old friend Rose, the housekeeper who returns to 165 Eaton Place after several decades, is downright nasty at times. A story that comes in at a distant second to the stellar "Downton Abbey."

more recent episodes in which the housekeeper is now older and goes back to Eaton Place to staff it again. Still good acting and true to time period

Excellent show. I wish that there was another episode. It leaves you wanting more.
