I don't know about the handsome part in the synopsis, but this was a decent movie. I can see if someone gives it a bad review, but we enjoyed it. If you're a member of PETA, don't watch.

I really liked this movie, I would recommend this to anyone looking for a feel good movie. The hardships the people had to endure during that time, gave me a whole new perspective on how things were back then. The love story part was great and predictable but pleasant. I saw Robert Pattinson in a whole new light and he is a wonderful actor, can't wait to see what he does next.

I liked this movie. I would recommend it to someone looking for a somewhat uplifting romance with some action. I liked getting a handle on how things were during the Great Depression. The love story was pleasant, but predictable. I liked seeing Robert Pattinson in something other than the "Twilight" films. I liked seeing him as a real person. Reese Witherspoon was good as Marlena. I liked the elephant and that Jack Russell Uggie was good. He's a talented dog. I saw him in "The Artist", too. He was amazing! Overall, the movie was engaging and good.
