This is really an unknown made for BBC/ Irish Television series for us here in the States. It's not as compelling as the 'Inspector Morse', 'Doc Martin' or "The Wire in the Blood' series but it works on a smaller scale level. In a nondescript sea side Irish village secrets are kept and the villagers like to keep things that way -- the only problem is, that the local constable (a local lad come back from the big city of Dublin) has a little problem of actually wanting to up hold the law -- much to the displeasure of some of the villagers including his own father, the retired corrupt village constable himself. With some beautiful location shots and played with a sense of realism that makes this drama sincere in its story telling approach. However, you will have to have a good ear for the Irish accent to understand the actors in this series as the producers and the cast are playing it real and not for the ear of an American audience.
