Amanda Seyfried stars in this dark retelling of the classic Little Red Riding Hood fable, set in a medieval village where a werewolf has been terrorizing the citizens. Though the night has become a more and more dangerous time for the villagers, who never know when the beast will leave more bodies strewn in its wake, Valerie is a girl on the brink of womanhood, and is so preoccupied with her love and lust for an orphaned woodcutter that she risks leaving herself vulnerable -- both literally and figuratively. Meanwhile, the townspeople hire a werewolf hunter (Gary Oldman) to track down the monster and kill it before it wreaks more bloody havoc. But as suspicions brew, the people of the once peaceful town begin to turn on each other, letting the innocence of their formerly happy community fall further and further into the past. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

In this Modern adult take on the classic tale of " LIttel Red Riding hood", you will get a feel of the mix of both "Twilight" and the movie " The Village". All throughout the movie you will be convinced you know just who the wolf is, and then you think it is someone else until you are driven mad. Alas you will be tricked just as I was but will be happy you were. Well done re-make.

I love this movie! Being as Catherine Hardwicke directed my favorite movie of all time, "Twilight," I knew this was gonna be good. This movie actually reminded me more of M. Night Shyamalayan's "The Village," only with more romance and better scenery. Amanda Seyfried is a very talented young actress and Billy Burke really proved himself as an actor in this film being as he had a larger role than in the Twilight movies. The PG13 rating kept the blood to a minimum which is a good thing in my opinion. This will definitely be one of my all-time favorite movies and a must own for my Blu-ray collection. I'm gonna go buy the book now!
