The special effects are really lame, perhaps non-existent is more accurate. Plot goes like this -teens arrive on island, start getting killed off.
Director is a fan of slow-motion shots, especially of teenage girls in bikinis. Camera is handheld. Screaming girls have totally annoying shrill shrieking voices.
If you like Asian girls in bikinis or cosplay-type outfits - this MIGHT be worth checking out on fast forward, but not really. I gave it 2 stars in case thats your thing, otherwise its a one-star max.
I didn't realize it was subtitled until I rented it. This movie is for guys like me who want to see cute young Asian women running around in their swim suits on an island. Even then, this movie barely gets 1 1/2 to 2 stars.
The synopsis would have you believe this is a full length, horror film. However, with a 65 minute runtime, it was more a low budget, direct to video suspense short with a bit of creepy exploitation thrown in. The only notable positives for the movie were the scenery and the writing which provided an original doppelganger theme. The movie was performed by what appeared to be first time actors. As for extras, there's a trailer for the film, a "Behind the Scenes" featurette (19:34 min), a "Still Gallery", DVD covers of other Cinema Epoch films and trailers for three other films. Not recommended.
