Unfortunately, this is a big disappointment. Yes, you get to see what the Smiths looked like performing together very early...but the music is dubbed with the Cd versions of the songs and you just see the band playing away...many times out of sych..especially guitarist Johnny Marr. In many cases you are better off listening and not looking. It fares a bit better towards the end, which I guess displays the Smiths at their peak, which, sadly was too soon. But, alas, this dvd is pretty much all Morrissey...kind of a precursor to his upcoming and VERY successful solo career. Morrissey fans especially, rent the live concert "Who put the M in Manchester" first rate production and even a couple of Smiths songs thrown in with Morrisseys solo work. He seems to get better with time!

Fun to reminisce over their songs.

The Complete Picture has popular hits like "This Charming Man" and "Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before" and is something that can be viewed multiple times without getting old. The only real problem with this DVD is the lack of the "Top of the Pops" performances and the "Whistle Test" performances. I highly recomend this for Smiths - Morrissey fans.
