Interesting on a historical level. These poorly produced and exploitative films preceded Hollywood's best works. Yet these films influenced each new era of American cinema. The puritanical morals that dominate our government in an attempt to curb the appeal of these grindhouse movies managed to substitute violence for sx. Which is why most horror and action films get PG13 ratings even with the cringeworthy amount of gore within. However, a film with too many scenes of sx will likely get an R rating and thus fewer ticket sales.

One of the things that suprised me about this documentary is how many of the movies depicted I've seen over my lifetime. Some of them certainly look comical by todays standards, but when they were on the "big screen" they were a topic of daily conversation. Interesting colllection of interviews and movie clips, presented in quick, to-the-point snippets.

The trailer pretty much tells it all. Although I did not find the commentary that interesting, the film clips are a riot. T&A are not censored as in the trailer. Only a FEW of these films are the MST3K variety that you let your young kids watch.
