Decent attempt at a giallo includes typical plot-lines and acting from an 80's slasher flick (overused and barely acceptable). While the opening - with the naked lesbians running about - screams exploitation; the film itself seems to find a place in the "who done it" genre of early slasher films. I'd also like to state the middle is kinda slow - but there's a payoff to the whole thing that made it definitely worth a watch. Not a groundbreaking ending; but something that fits in nicely with 70's grindhouse films. While not a brand new classic; "ROT" secures itself a place above both studio and indie horror films for attempting to revive the genre - while at the same time following the plot restrictions of a slasher film. Recommended.

Actually a pretty good movie! I watch A LOT of lower budget horror/slasher flicks and this one really seemed to try and add a little something for everyone. I agree with the other reviewer that the middle is a bit slow, but overall well worth the watch. Also, kudos on the music score. Most of the time I try and tune out the music in these movies, but I found myself noticing the little things in the music and sound effects that really brought out the scene. Nice work.

Not bad for a low budget. Low budget horrors can be a lot worse. Kind of short movie however. I liked the twist in the end. Haven't heard that story before.
