Synopsis of The Armoire

A boy reeling with an unexpected loss deals with his grief in his own way in this short, stylized drama from filmmaker Jamie Travis. Aaron (William Cuddy) is an eleven-year-old boy who invites his best friend Tony over to his house after school. While playing hide and seek, Tony hides a bit too well -- Aaron can't find him, and when he doesn't come home, his parents begins frantically searching for him. When Tony is declared missing, Aaron is crushed, and begins retreating into a world of his own, often hiding in the armoire in his room as he tries to make sense of Tony's disappearance while keeping the secrets of their friendship. The Armoire was the final film in what director Travis has called "The Saddest Children In The World Trilogy," following Why The Anderson Children Didn't Come To Dinner and The Saddest Boy In The World. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi
