The interpretation was somewhat disturbing. I am not a bible scholar, but you donât have to be to be put off by way the story is put together. Some scenes tell the story they way children learn it, other scenes seem to dig into historic details.
For instance, both the wise men and shepherds show up for the birth. As I recall, one of the gospels tell of wise men, another of shepherds. Childrenâs stories put them together, not the bible.
On the other hand the movie discuss that the manger was most likely not in a barn as we have been told, but in a cellar. Interesting.
I believe it was made by Discover channel â I was disappointed in their research.
Sounded too much like a Christian missionary tract. There were no gray areas, and for sure no black areas. It was all good - too much propaganda for those who have studied religion.
