Awesome, I loved it. Could only be better by having Billy Piper in it!

The Dr. Who franchise is nearly 50 years old, and I am nearly COMPLETELY ignorant of it. I figure that there's just TOO MUCH of it out there, and that for any of it to make sense, I'd have to catch up with ALL of it, and since I may not have 300 years left to live, I just say no. But my buddy, who can quote the whole 50 years chapter-and-verse, was not able to download this, and needed me to record it for him, so I watched it. DYNAMIC hour of SciFi!! So what I may be saying here is that perhaps this gripping tale of a disaster on Mars is the perfect Dr. Who for nonfans, as it was brilliant, did not require an abundance of pre-knowledge, and did not leave me clamoring to acquire 50 years of pre-knowledge.
