Maybe God Is Ill (2007)
Member Rating:
As Africa undergoes turbulent transition, filmmaker Walter Veltroni offers a portrait of a continent in crisis. A place where war, famine, and disease are just the facts of life, Africa isn't a land for the weak. But what could the situation there mean for the rest of the world? Is the situation there indicative of things to come for other, more prosperous nations in the future? As Veltroni speaks with people from Senegal, Uganda, Angola, Mozambique, and South Africa, the plight of the poor and impoverished comes vividly into focus. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

So touching. This film has voice and texture. It has heart. I hope we all have eyes and ears. What one human suffers we all suffer. There but for fortune go you or I.

There are other documentaries on this subject which have been more thoughtfully presented. Still, some insight unique to this film might be obtained if one can rummage through the unorganized presentation.
