Basilisk: The Complete Series [Blu-ray]

This Japanese Animation (Anime) is an excellent story about two fueding Ninja clans who hav their top fighters to combat. What complicates matters is that the head of one clan is in love with the head of the other clan. This Anime is similar to the live-action movie called: Shinobi-Heart Under Blade (except the Anime is the much more extended version with 26 episodes, across 3 Blurays). What's unique about this Anime is that each clan's top fighter's have special abilities. This is make for facinating fight sequences. The animation is already top notch but on Bluray, its even better: sharp, bright, crisp. They also do a good job in showing relationships between the characters among each clan and between them. Sound is Dolby TruHD on BluRay, so you'll have great 5.1 surround sound. One note, this series is what I would consider R rated, bec of the violence, minor nudity, and langauge.
