A low budget movie that was entertaining enough to recommend watching especially if you like unusual vampire (love story)movies. What was missing big time was how did the main character become infected with the vampire virus, if you can call it a virus. The plot details how the main characters realize their condition and how they will cope with survival making this interesting to follow to the end. Not your usual vampire plot with the fear of the cross, running water,no reflection in the mirror, killing the oldest vampire to release the spell, more like the potential for a modern day virus to spiral, and not a fast moving plot either for the impatient. The trailer is true to the tone of this movie.

A good, creative, and more mature, thoughful twist on the vampire genre. It's not your angsty, clean cut, attempt to be morally superior vampire glamour movie. Instead, it's a strongly character driven plot that delves deeper into the emotional and moral implications of vampirism, addiction, and loneliness. As stated by other reviewers, they deviate from the traditional horror movie vamp and treat vampirism more as a health condition, a virus. The need for blood, fangs, and the aversion to sunlight remain, but the superstitions of crosses, churches, insane strength, etc. are left behind. Definitely investigates the moral dilemma of the human condition as it pertains to vampires, and I found it to be an interesting deviation from the current string of glamour-ridden teenie-bopper vamps that have been dancing across the screen the last couple of years.
