A former Special Forces sergeant infiltrates the most dangerous underground fight club in the country to seek revenge for his brother, who was left comatose after being forced to fight to repay a gambling debt. Jack Campbell (Max Martini) served his country well, but his military career ended in shame; after receiving commendations for bravery in Kosovo and Tora Bora, and being bestowed a Bronze Star for bravery in Afghanistan, Jack's attempt to save civilian lives in Iraq by attacking a sadistic commanding officer earned him a dishonorable discharge and a prison stint at Fort Leavenworth. Granted early release, Jack makes his way to San Madera, CA to pay a visit to his only brother, Joey. But Joey is in a coma, an unfortunate victim of the Gauntlet, a notorious underground fight club run by morally bankrupt businessman Mr. Pope (Nick Chinlund). Mr. Pope and his greedy wife Ms. Lee (Jane Park Smith) have made San Madera their own personal playground, a place where the wealthy and greedy can go to see some serious bloodshed. On his way to challenging reigning fight king Isaiah (Sidney Liufau), Jack enlists quirky strip club owner George (Max Perlich) as his manager, and reconnects with his old high school friend Maggie (Valerie Cruz). Though at first Pope sees the story of a violent war vet fighting for the honor of his fallen brother as a perfect pitch to sell tickets, his tune changes after realizing that the fight is personal, and Jack aims to destroy his entire empire before the fighting is over. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

If you think Max Martini is cool, then you should see this movie. It is a much lower-budget movie, with a story that is almost exactly that of "Blood & Bone" starring another cool C-level action star, Michael Jae White. Watch that one, and THEN watch this one. In that order, I'm not joking.

We thought this was pretty good. Max Martini of "The Unit' is cast in the starring role. The fight club plot has been done several times - revenge for beating of a family member. The fight scenes were very realistic and the romantic story line was OK too.
