Synopsis of Fugue

Convinced that their girlfriends are cheating on them, a group of untrusting high school students hires an eccentric classmate and aspiring detective to confirm their suspicions of unfaithfulness once and for all. Hal Gordon is certain that he has what it takes to become a great detective, and he's about to get his first big assignment. Hired by Adelle Julian's boyfriend to follow the girl and report on his findings, Hal begins to doubt his detective skills after getting caught in the act. But this is only the beginning of Hal's adventure, because upon learning that a local girl named Kerri Flanagan has died under mysterious circumstances, he begins the journey down a dark road of obsession and deception. Adelle bears an uncanny resemblance to the missing girl, and the more Hal learns about Kerri's bad reputation, the more convinced he becomes of foul play. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide
