Lonnie Lord (Vin Saxon) is a rock & roll star who sells millions and loves to sing, anywhere and anytime. When a trio of psychotic hoodlums kidnaps his girlfriend, Cee Bee Beaumont (Carolyn Brandt), Lonnie and his faithful gardener sidekick, Titus Twimbly (Titus Moede), know it's time for action. They step into a closet and emerge as Rat Pfink and Boo-Boo, two costumed crime fighters who bear more than a passing resemblance to Batman and Robin: "Together they blaze a four-fisted campaign against the enemies of truth, justice and the American way of right!" They track down the evil doers and rescue the distressed damsel, but an escaped circus gorilla is on the loose and soon Cee Bee is in danger again. This bizarre low-budget mixture of crime drama and superhero spoof features great rockabilly non-hits like "Big Boss A-Go-Go-Party" and "Running Wild." ~ Fred Beldin, Rovi

Fun to watch on TV but not worth a rental, even if you like bad low budget films. The director attempted to make a straight crime drama, but after 40 minutes of footage was shot, he decided it wasn’t working. Since he couldn’t afford to scrap the footage, and since portions of the film were unintentionally funny, he changed gears and had two characters suddenly apear in makeshift costumes as crimefighters Rat Pfink and Boo Boo. He then padded the film with shots of way too long chase scenes, fight scenes and even an encounter with a gorilla. He also had footage of the duo appearing in a genuine parade as if it were being held in their honor. The final disaster came when the main title was being animated and the "n" and "d" were left out so the title appears as "Rat Pfink a Boo Boo." The film is dubbed with bad voiceovers and cheap sound effects. Ironically, even as cheap as it is, the fight scenes are still better than the extremely overrated Dark Knight in theaters now.

The actual title for this film is RAT PFINK A BOO BOO. This was one of Steckler's lowest budget movies, but it has such a fantastic creative energy about it, you can't help but sit back and admire his chutzpah for getting this film made. The film starts out as an unconventional thriller, with three psychotic bad guys terrorizing local residents of Hollywood, punctuated by music videos of Ron Hayduke (playing Lonnie Lord) and his band. When the psychos kidnap the gorgeous leggy beauty Carolyn Brandt, however, the film suddenly becomes a Batman and Robin spoof, complete with a guy dressed in a gorilla suit and lots of chases and fist fights. The film ends with a beach party scene and lots of go-go dancing; what more could you ask for? This disc also includes a lackluster commentary by the director, three trailers, and a photo gallery.
