This is a real terror film without all the blood and guts. Keeps you on the edge of the couch. It has great detail in the architecture and even the creepy creatures, which you actually get to see, not just shadows and music. Wonderful! Dr. Phil Spears

I gave this movie an extra half star because of Bailee Madison. 11 years old when the movie was made, she looks enough like Katie Holmes to be her daughter or sister. Bailee carries the storyline, her clueless father and his girlfriend spend most of their time in total disbelief of her story of horror. Check under the bed tonight, who knows what might be lurking there.

good remake. i remember the original television movie with Kim Darby as a kid and i always thought it was one of the scariest horror flicks of the 70's. i thought this remake would dissapoint but it turned out to be good, scary fun. i even thought Katie Holmes wasn't half bad as a actress. she did the original Kim Darby role well. this film is more spooky and eerie than out and out shocking, but it does leave you with chills when it's all over. it makes you afraid to turn out the lights for fear of little men.
