Arrested, imprisoned, and brutally tortured for their outspoken efforts to free Tibet, Buddhist Nun Ngwang and Buddhist Monk Bagdro suffered years of abuse until a global movement launched by Amnesty International and the International Campaign for Tibet convinced the Chinese government to let them free. In the aftermath of their nightmarish experience, Ngwang and Bagdro drew on the philosophies of the Dali Lama in order to conquer their fear and forgive their enemies.
