Looking for special editions of The Legend of the Shadowless Sword?
Was pleasantly suprised by the story line as I was expecting a good action flick. I was riveted to the screen the entire time and felt the warmth and love of the main characters building step by step...
Even if you don't like Martial Arts movies, this one is well worth the viewing time!
Rent this movie only if you're into watching two smoking hot, Korean swordswomen go at it. If you liked "House of Flying Daggers", you'll probably like this movie as they share similar high levels of quality and creativity. The acting, directing, cinematography, sound, lighting, choreography, special effects, set and costume design were excellent. The scenery was very colorful and it was refreshing to see outdoor action scenes in the Chinese badlands. There's a fair amount of wuxia wirework, but it's well done and is way better than what was seen in "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon". The action sequences were numerous, well done and original. There's also an extra bit of back story during the end credits. The DTS 5.1 audio option made good use of surround sound. As for extras, there's a trailer for the movie, a "Character Introduction" featurette (17:43 min), a "Behind The Scenes" featurette (6:33 min), a video "Picture Gallery" (1:26 min) and a music video. Absolutely recommended.
Found a nice surprise on Blockbuster's wall of movies. Probably wouldn't have found this title online. Anyway, the lousy underwater fight scene and people mysteriously "exploding" when touched with a sword was made up for by all of the other well-done fights. It's a bit slow at times, but the movie has just enough sword play in it to get you to the end.
